“We learn, about compassion and honesty, and being kind to everyone” – Jack, Year 3

We are Launchpad

Launchpad Champions is a Christian Values Education programme for kura in Aotearoa New Zealand that supports the Key Competencies and Values of the New Zealand Curriculum and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa.

Values are a cornerstone of all whānau, kura and communities. Our Launchpad Champions programme is a fun and engaging 30-minute  session presented to our tamariki each week by our volunteer presenters. Our presentations encourage tamariki to be courageous, have respect and be helpful. Our tamariki are given opportunity to consider applying positive values to their own lives in situations such as: being a good friend, working together, having self-control and overcoming challenges.

Our presenters share kōrero from the Bible and other inspiring champions to present positive values. Tamariki explore the kōrero through games and activities, then discuss how these values might apply in everyday situations in their whānau, kura and community.
