Volunteer Training
We are at the last stage of getting you up and running to become a Launchpad Volunteer.
It is now time to get your training started.
If you haven’t already, you can register for training on the Launchpad website – eLearn by following the link below. You must also attend a training session run by your Regional Advisor. Preferably before you go into a classroom, or within 2 months of starting.
The training consists of the following stages.
Level One – ‘Foundations’
- Complete the three modules.
- Connect with a Team Leader and start in a classroom as a helper or as part of a large group team.
- During this time make guided observations about what is happening in the lesson.
- When all of this is done you are ready to move to Level Two.
Level Two – ‘Culture’
- Remember to ask the Regional Advisor or Team Leader for advice at any time.
- Complete at least 2 modules.
- Take on more responsibility in the classroom when you are confident and start on Level Three.
Level Three – ‘Accreditation’
- Remember to ask the Regional Advisor or Team Leader for advice at any time.
- You will present an ‘Observed lesson’, which completes the accreditation process.
- Accreditation completed.
- Commit to complete annual Professional Development Training either at Launchpad conference or in-person training sessions held by Regional Advisor.
- You will be observed every five years (could be part of a ‘school observation’).
