Launchpad Champions is free and presented by trained volunteers


Launchpad Champions
in your School

Our 30-minute presentations can be delivered whenever they suit your school best—during class time, lunchtime, before or after school.

Launchpad Champions is provided without charge by volunteers from your local community. Volunteers are trained, police vetted and abide by our
Code of Expectations.

Launchpad Champions is optional

Every child is welcome, whoever they are and whatever they and their whānau do-or-don’t believe.

We provide opt-in forms for schools to give to parents/whānau, giving them full control of whether their tamariki participate.

Our Program

Kōrero

A kōrero is presented from the Bible, NZ history or from around the world that illustrates the value. The kōrero may be told through multimedia, interactive storytelling or other visual aids.

Story Exploration

Tuharatia te kōrero Story Exploration through a game or activity. This can involve working in large or small groups. Workbooks are used with some tamariki.

Would you like a Launchpad Champions programme in your kura?

When a Board of Trustees, in consultation with whānau and community, believe our programme will benefit your tamariki they invite us to present Launchpad Champions. Our programme connects with whānau, kura and community. Our National Office will put you in touch with a Regional Advisor who will work with your kura to organise delivery of our programme.

Our Programme is optional, you have the choice.

We live in a multicultural nation with many different worldviews. Every child, no matter their views, upbringing or religion, is welcome to join in the class. In our programmes, tamariki are affirmed and encouraged.

Whānau choose if they want their tamariki involved in our programme.  Each kura are provided with an opt-in form for students, a form must be completed by their whānau for a student to be able to attend. Tamariki who do not attend our sessions will be part of an alternative programme provided by the kura.
